In Hitman I customarily used controller for movement and mouse for aiming when sniping or during shootouts, in H2 it wasn't possible, I had to use either controller or keyboard+mouse. (*) the only notable difference between H and H2 for me was inability to use controller and mouse at the same time in H2. H2 and H3 have the same fonts as the first Hitman, it's basically the same engine but updated, and they have zero problems* running on Linux via Proton, so I guess it's just a matter of time before they get a tick. If you fonts are too small, you need to manually pull up the on screen keyboard for something, your controller icon glyphs are wrong, etc you don't get a verified tick. But games get evaluated for the form factor and input too.
